The Wall Street Journal Europe: Weekend Journal "The Fear Issue" print
December 5, 2007

"The Fear Issue: a Gfk-Wall Street Journal survey" will be the cover story in the Weekend Journal, the weekly leisure section of The Wall Street Journal Europe, on Friday, 7th December.

The survey asked a cross-section of Europeans: what is your most important daily anxiety? How do you deal with your fears? What is the biggest fear for global society today? Is our world getting better or worse? What is the main thing you do to help improve the world? and finally, what gives you the most hope for the world's future? Not surprisingly, fears included "terrorist acts" or "war", followed by "global warming and other damage to the environment" and "moral decay".
