American author Dan Brown was born June 22, 1964 in Exeter, New Hampshire. He was almost thirty, when during a vacation in Tahiti was inspired to become a writer. He started working on his first novel, Digital Fortress, and after its publication, he soon finished Angels & Demons and Deception Point. The first three novels had little success, but the fourth, The Da Vinci Code in 2003 quickly became a bestseller and the world learned the name of the lead character, symbology expert Robert Langdon. Dan Brown's last work so far, The Lost Symbol was published in 2009, and is planned to be filmed and released in 2012. |
