The article of Financial Times titled "Hungary: we don't need the IMF" sums up the economic situation of the country after the first day of the parliament session on Monday. The article points out that despite the dismal inflation figures and the country being in recession, the Prime Minister and his government don't seem to worry. The fiscal gap in next years' budget would give grounds to such worries, although the situation could be improved "if only Hungary faced up to the dodgy numbers in its 2013 budget and genuinely got on with meeting the oft-repeated, patiently explained conditionality required by the EU-IMF for any loan". |
