The Leipzig Book Fair, slowly growing into the biggest rival of the Frankfurt Book Fair closed its doors yesterday. The Leipzig Book Fair, focusing on the Eastern-, Central and Southern-European literature gathered 2150 publishers from more than 40 countries including Serbia, the country in spotlight this year. The Fair had a special Hungarian aspect last year when György Dalos, Hungarian author living in Berlin received the Leipzig Book Award. Mr. Dalos was in the centre of attention this year as well; one of the biggest hits on the Fair was his new book about Michail Gorbatschow, recently published in Germany. |
