László Kövér, Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament was interviewed by Austrian Die Presse last Friday. Mr. Kövér expressed in the interview that “should the Hungarian Media Law endanger the freedom of the press, we shall modify it again”. He added that considering the opposition press, he didn’t see any reason for this. The Speaker explained that the Media Law was very well prepared that’s why the political hysteria around it couldn’t have been foreseen. Other topics, such as questions about MSZP and Jobbik (parties in opposition) or macroeconomic issues were also discussed in the interview of Die Presse. |
