The future of the movie presenting the story of Natascha Kampusch has been uncertain for a while due to the sudden death of Bernd Eichinger, producer and owner of the film rights. German weekly Der Spiegel announced that the production company decided recently to continue the preparations and finish the script left in half by Eichinger, though the premiere might be delayed. Natascha Kampusch, 10 years old in March 1998, was on her way to school, when a man grabbed her and forced her into a van to keep her as a slave during 8 years in an underground cell. The girl escaped after 3096 days and wrote a book about her captivity, the abuse she had to suffer and the sexual harassments. |
