Two German dailies, Süddeutsche Zeitung and Die Welt praised the latest film titled Womb of Hungarian film director Benedek Fliegauf yesterday. The article in Süddeutsche Zeitung emphasizes that the film - shot in English - is „the extraordinary story of love and grief that puts the question of cloning in a different perspective where ethics and morality are of secondary importance”. (In Fliegauf’s film the main character, Rebecca, gives birth to the clone of her lover who died in an accident). The article in Die Welt explains the story of the film in details and praises the director highlighting that the film “tells about love taking place in the era of cloning and is by no means to be described as merely a science-fiction creation" (as many claim). |
