Nobel-Prize-Winning Writer José Saramago Died print

Nobel-Prize_Winning Portuguese novelist José Saramago died at the age of 87. One of his best-known novels is Blindness, written in 1995, which was also filmed in 2008 starring Julianne Moore. Other memorable works of José Saramago are Memorial do Convento (published in English as Baltasar and Blimunda), The Gospel According to Jesus Christ, Caim (Cain), El Cuaderno (The Notebook).
