Three books of Murakami Haruki's new novel series 1Q84 were already published in Japan. The story takes the reader to year 1984 and to year 1Q84 in a parallel reality. The novel follows the structure of Bach's Wohltemperiertes Klavier, two storylines, that of a man and a woman, alternating by chapter. The first part of the English translation will be published in the middle of next year.
