John Lennon is inarguably one of the greatest figures in the history of popular music and Q is proud to mark the occasion of his 70th birthday with this special collector’s issue. That Q have been able to do so with the input and assistance of Yoko Ono – via access to her private photo archive, a new interview with her conducted at her home in the Dakota Building, New York and her penning an introductory letter to the issue – makes it all the authentic. The covers picture John through four very definite ages of his life. Two are previously unseen images (one from the great David Bailey, taken in London in 1965; the other of John and Yoko together from Yoko’s own archive) ensures that this an appropriately special event. Q magazine can be subscribed in the web shop of Hungaropress. Go to Q magazine >> |
