In honor of the British Royal Wedding to be held on April 29, German weekly magazine “Stern” launches a five-part mini-series about the British Monarchy. The first part will appear in this year’s 14th issue and will cover the beginnings of the Monarchy from William the Conqueror until Henry VIII. The second part, to be published in issue 2011/15, will review the period of Elizabeth I of England until the reign of Queen Victoria, while part 3 in issue 2011/16 studies the House of Windsor. Part four in the 17th issue will be dedicated primarily to Princess Diana and the role of the Monarchy in the media, while the last part in issue 2011/18 presents Prince William and his wife-to-be, Kate Middleton.
